SPEAKER_00here's the truth. Hair grows from the scalp, not from the ends. But this myth just won't die. Wow. I don't know if it's like stylists want you in their chair more frequently or what. I have no idea. Here's where I think it comes from is that the shorter your hair is, the more that you can see
The Big Question: Do Trims Speed Growth?
SPEAKER_00that it needs a haircut. Maybe. I don't know. Cuts don't really change your follicles, but they do stop the split ends from traveling upwards. So it does keep your hair stronger and it helps it reach longer lengths without breaking. And I guess that's why people are saying get it cut more frequently. However, if you do go that route and you get it cut and you're in there every eight weeks or whatever, and you're growing your hair out as long as it can possibly get, make sure your stylus isn't taking more than they need to. If you're taking care of your hair and it doesn't have split ins, but you're just going in there because you want it to feel better, make sure they're only trimming off like a quarter of an inch. They do not have to take an inch off or two inches off every time you sit in their chair. You need to control the situation. So just make sure that
